This year we’ve partnered with 300 Seconds to run a session of lightning talks, with the aim of giving new speakers from underrepresented groups the opportunity to gain confidence and improve their speaking skills in a safe, supportive environment.

It’s also a chance for up-and-coming talent to break into the conference circuit, and by offering just five minutes to speak, this session will offer a supportive first step for those wanting to make the jump from attendee to speaker.

Sharon O’Dea is an award-winning digital strategist who advises complex organisations on communication, collaboration and digital workplace technologies. With a focus on large and complex organisations, Sharon has collaborated with world-leading universities, global banks, magic circle law firms and multi-national energy firms, as well as charities and the UK government.

A regular writer and speaker on the evolving role of digital in the workplace, Sharon co-authored two books and is one of LinkedIn's Top Voices.

Irked by the lack of diversity at tech and digital events, Sharon co-founded event series 300 Seconds to give women and other underrepresented groups in digital a way to gain confidence and experience, and to find their voice.
